Individual Depth Work

Entering into a therapeutic process is a commitment to Self. Together we collaborate to explore the ways you know yourself in the world, how you relate to your Self, and others and your deeper longings for something different.

A Depth Psychotherapy engages the unconscious, and in my work with you I listen for what's beneath the surface, what has been cast out of consciousness. Our unconscious desires or wishes are well masked and are often presented to us through symptoms, repeated behaviors and patterns, dreams and uncanny synchronicity. It can be difficult to make sense of these messages, and even sometimes difficult to notice on our own.

Together we delve deeper and listen for the messages from within. When some understanding of these symptoms, behaviors and patterns is gained, we can then start to integrate what has needed to be cast away (pain, grief or sorrow to name a few). As you reclaim these disowned pieces of yourself, it becomes possible to have more conscious ability to relate to your Self and others, to your world with more choice and flexibility.

Couples

I work with couples who are seeking support for a wide range of issues. This can include: pre-marital counseling, communication and intimacy blocks, infidelity recovery, as well as couples who are grappling with big questions like: can we actually have a sustainable relationship given who we are?

We will work to understand points of conflict and search for what is trying to be communicated. I offer tools to help assist you outside of the therapy room, but most importantly work to go beyond the symptomology and look deeper into historical ways of relating, giving and receiving love.
